Looking for ways to involve the kids in the kitchen this holiday season? Here are two fun ways in which you can use ice cream cones to make holiday treats that everyone will enjoy:
Christmas Trees
Love decorating the Christmas tree each year? This fun ice cream project will let you and your little helpers customize your own ice cream cone Christmas trees. Simply melt a white chocolate baking bar and using a spoon or fork drizzle the melted coating randomly over a sugar cone. Sprinkle on colored (such as red or green) sugar crystals and/or sprinkles and let dry. Put a dab of the melted bar on the tip of each cone and apply more crystals or other treats. Serve the cones upside down on dessert plates with a scoop of your favorite Blue Bunny ice cream on the side. It's a holiday treat that proves the best presents come in cold packages!
Christmas Elves
Make Christmas elves by using cookies, ice cream cones and your favorite ice cream. To make the elves, pleace a star-shaped sugar cookie on a plate, top with a scoop of ice cream and place a cone on top like an elf's hat. Decorate the pointed tip of the hat with a marshmallow. Add candy pieces to decorate the elf's face and enjoy!
